Universal Quantum is hiring a Quantum Operator to operate, monitor, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot ion-trap quantum computing hardware and experimental systems. The role supports quantum hardware integration, testing, commissioning, experimental data analysis, and reliable system operation while collaborating with physicists and engineers. Candidates need a PhD in physics, quantum technologies, AMO physics, or a related field, or a master's degree in AMO physics with at least two years of relevant hands-on laboratory experience, plus practical experience with quantum control experiments and optical, RF/microwave, vacuum, or imaging systems.
