The FPGA Software Intern will join Altera's Quartus compiler group and contribute to the design, coding, and testing of compiler software. Responsibilities include determining software architecture, implementing features in C/C++, improving synthesis, place-and-route, and timing analysis engines, and writing C/C++ unit and regression tests as well as HDL test cases in VHDL or Verilog. The role is a fixed-term student/internship based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, with an estimated salary of $95,000–$100,000 CAD and performance-based incentives.
