Description
The Quilting Machine Operator operates multi-needle quilting machines and related equipment to produce quilted mattress panels. The role includes loading and reloading fabric, foam, fiber, backing, thread, and bobbins; adjusting needle positioning and patterns; setting and adjusting panel-cutting blades; monitoring machine operation; inspecting finished panels for skipped stitches; maintaining a clean workstation; performing routine lubrication; using computer functions related to quilting; and returning materials to storage. The position requires the employee to be at least 18 years old, have good hand-eye coordination, be able to lift and move more than 50 pounds, and possess basic mathematical and organizational skills.
