ABB is hiring a Power Electronics Scientist for its motion research department. The role conducts research and technology development for power electronics used in variable-speed drives, analyzes product issues, tracks relevant technology, collaborates with global research teams and academic societies, and executes research projects. The position requires a Ph.D. in power electronics or a related electrical engineering major, a strong theoretical background with publications, and expertise in variable-speed-drive topologies, magnetic-component design, power semiconductors, AC/DC and DC/DC converters, and EMC design.
