The R&D Engineer II develops LS-DYNA and related software products by designing, implementing, maintaining, testing, and documenting software modules and subsystems. The role also includes bug verification, release testing, beta support, research of QA or product-support issues, and understanding product marketing requirements. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree with two years of professional experience or a master’s degree in a relevant engineering or natural science discipline, along with technical software development, programming, and finite-element or computational-mechanics knowledge. The position is based in Livermore, California, is not remote, and offers a base salary of $101,000–$151,000 plus potential bonus, equity, and discretionary bonuses.
