Description
The role independently performs moderate to complex assembly and fabrication of aerospace R&D prototypes, mockups, test articles, and product concepts. Responsibilities include interpreting 2D drawings, 3D model-based definitions, specifications, work orders, and BOMs; fabricating components from metals, plastics, wood, composites, adhesives, laminates, and rapid-prototyping materials; operating hand and power tools, CNC equipment, and 3D printers; inspecting work; troubleshooting build issues; maintaining tooling and inspection controls; and tracking schedules and material needs. The position requires at least two years of assembly or related prototype or manufacturing experience, proficiency with aerospace specifications and fabrication processes, and the ability to work independently with Engineering and cross-functional teams.
