Description
Opsydia is hiring a full-time R&D Scientist to develop and validate next-generation laser-processing technologies for writing features in transparent materials. The role covers experimental research, concept development, data analysis and modelling with Python or MATLAB, product validation, customer and stakeholder engagement, and support for intellectual property and publications. Candidates should have significant academic experience in photonics, optics, physics or a related discipline, experience with ultrafast lasers and waveguide or optical-fibre characterisation, and knowledge of photonic interconnects and adaptive optics. The position is based in Oxford and offers hybrid working, with a salary of £45,000+ depending on experience.
