The role defines mission-based radiation requirements, develops test plans, procedures, harnesses, cables, and PCBs, coordinates irradiation testing, analyzes total ionizing dose, displacement damage dose, and single-event effects, supports spacecraft and payload integration, manages configuration changes and risks, and consults on radiation mitigation and parts selection. The position reports to the Avionics Director and requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or a related field, at least five years of relevant experience including three years with MS, hands-on spacecraft or avionics testing experience, and U.S. citizenship.
