Description
The Radiologic Technologist operates stationary and portable X-ray equipment, performs diagnostic radiologic procedures, positions and cares for patients, prepares patients and administers IV contrast, reviews and labels images for quality before radiologist submission, and uses EPIC/Radiology Information System and PACS. The role also involves supervising and evaluating radiology students, maintaining equipment and rooms, responding to emergencies, collaborating with healthcare staff, working all scheduled shifts including weekends, and meeting the physical demands of patient care and portable equipment transport. ARRT education and certification requirements apply, with an NYS Radiologic Technologist License or Temporary Permit required for New York positions.
