Description
The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiological exams at DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital, including verifying patient identity, reviewing medical records, interviewing patients, explaining procedures, setting up and operating imaging equipment, acquiring images, reviewing and documenting findings, communicating with radiologists, responding to medical emergencies, providing post-care instructions, participating in quality and process improvement, and educating residents and student technologists. The role requires ARRT registration in Radiography, AHA BLS training by the end of orientation, clinical and communication skills, technical equipment knowledge, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a complex hospital environment.
