Description
The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures, operates radiological equipment, administers IV contrast, obtains patient histories and informed consent, assists physicians, maintains radiation safety, and supports radiography students and department operations. The role requires graduation from an accredited radiology program, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification within 12 months of hire, basic life support upon start, and state-required licensure where applicable. One year of combined classroom and clinical training in radiology and recent hospital or healthcare experience as a Radiologic Technologist or student are also required.
