Description

The CWR Maintenance Technician travels to domestic and international job sites and works with customers to coordinate and plan rail unloading activities. The role maintains the Pilot Unloader for Continuous Welded Rail trains, performs preventive maintenance on rail cars and unloader units, maintains yard machinery and equipment at Columbia City Yard, removes or fabricates parts, coordinates with vendors, leads the Safety Committee, and documents work activities. The position requires a high school education, a valid driver’s license and U.S. passport, at least three years of hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and schematics-reading experience, and E-Railsafe and Roadway Worker Protection certification; welding experience and a two-year technical degree are preferred. The role involves extensive travel throughout North America, occasional overtime, and physical work in field and yard environments.
