Description
King County Metro Transit’s Rail Division is hiring five full-time, career-service Rail Power Controllers to coordinate deactivation requests, manage load dispatching, monitor and control AC and DC traction electrification systems and medium-voltage substations, use SCADA to respond to power irregularities, dispatch crews, prepare switching orders, and maintain operational data. The positions are on-site in Seattle or at additional future locations, work 8-hour shifts five days per week covering 24/7/365, and require at least two years of journey-level electrical maintenance experience on systems over 600 volts or comparable electrical engineering experience, along with the ability to become a certified power controller within a year.
