Description
Rainmaker is hiring for a paid, full-time Atmospheric Science Fellowship in El Segundo. The fellowship is a three-to-six-month research appointment for undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, recent graduates, and other early-career researchers. Fellows work with a research lead on a scoped quantitative project involving atmospheric or operational analysis, data curation, statistical and geospatial methods, uncertainty quantification, and decision-oriented outputs. The role requires a background in meteorology, atmospheric science, applied mathematics, statistics, physics, hydrology, geospatial science, or a related field, strong Python and quantitative-analysis ability, and experience with meteorological, climate, geospatial, radar, satellite, or model data. Compensation is $8,000 per month, with medical, dental, and vision insurance and other benefits.
