Description
Ford is hiring an EV Vehicle Performance Engineer to own hub and chassis dynamometer testing, road-load characterization, drivetrain efficiency, gradeability, towing, and real-world performance validation. The role partners with powertrain, controls, thermal, and vehicle dynamics teams; develops test-cell standards and ISO/IEC 17025 procedures; supports global range and energy-efficiency certification; and analyzes large vehicle datasets to correlate simulation with real-world results. The position requires a relevant engineering degree, at least five years of vehicle performance or range testing experience, dynamometer expertise, and proficiency with Python or MATLAB. It is hybrid, with possible onsite work of four or more days per week, and visa sponsorship is available.
