MTSI is seeking a Range Safety & Flight Termination Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency’s Targets and Countermeasures Engineering Directorate. The role provides range safety expertise for flight tests and flight termination testing, oversees requirements development and verification for flight termination systems, conducts technical surveillance across hardware and software development and qualification, authorizes technical reports, and represents government interests in technical working groups and design reviews. Required qualifications include an active DoD Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree, at least seven years of experience supporting missile defense or large-scale complex DoD programs, flight termination and ordnance systems experience, proficiency with RCC-319 and RCC-324, and knowledge of range tracking architectures. Desired qualifications include a master’s degree, direct autonomous flight termination systems experience, hands-on flight test operations experience, and technical background in RF systems, antennas, batteries, and ordnance devices.
