AWS is hiring an RDS Platform Software Engineer to build and operate foundational infrastructure for Amazon Relational Database Service and Aurora. The role focuses on database access governance, event-driven architectures, disaster recovery automation, backup orchestration, distributed systems, high availability, and operational excellence across millions of customer databases. The engineer will own development, testing, deployment, and operational excellence, work across team boundaries, and evolve legacy architectures. The position is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with a base salary of CAD 114,800–191,800 annually.
