Description
ALTEN is seeking a Reactor System Design Engineer to design and develop reactor island systems, including primary and secondary circuit systems, from concept definition through detailed design. The role involves creating system requirements, design documentation, P&IDs, engineering calculations, optioneering studies, and compliant architectures; presenting designs at reviews; and ensuring safety, regulatory, and operational requirements are met. Candidates should have 4–8 years of process or systems engineering experience, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent military experience, and strong stakeholder management and systems engineering skills. Nuclear industry, sampling systems, thermal-hydraulic, utility, or process systems experience are desirable, and the role may require security clearance.
