Description
The Recreation Aide works under the supervision of a Principal or designee to maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for students during playground, physical education, meal, and recreational activities. Responsibilities include supervising student behavior, organizing activities, monitoring safety and playground equipment, assisting with cafeteria and nutrition-program activities, administering first aid, maintaining supplies, performing housekeeping, training new aides, and scheduling substitute coverage. The role requires knowledge of playground safety, student conduct, communication, interpersonal skills, and basic first aid, and may be performed for substitute work or to fill future vacancies.
