Apple Rehab Cromwell is seeking a Recreation Assistant to help the Therapeutic Recreation Director develop and deliver therapeutic recreational programs for skilled nursing residents. The role involves planning inclusive activities around residents’ abilities, interests, holidays, and religious observances; encouraging participation; supporting volunteer and intergenerational programs; maintaining resident rights, confidentiality, and privacy; and reporting grievances. Candidates must have a vehicle, a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and availability for rotating weekend coverage. At least one year of experience in a rehabilitative or geriatric setting is preferred. Benefits may be available to employees working 30 or more hours per week.
