Description
The Pool and Waterfront Lifeguard provides 60% lifeguard duties and 40% general aquatic-support duties at a Navy installation. Lifeguard responsibilities include supervising swimmers, monitoring water conditions, applying first aid, performing rescues, conducting CPR or emergency first aid, testing and adjusting pool chemicals, documenting hazards, and maintaining safety equipment. General duties include aquatic assessment testing, equipment orientations, patron identification, emergency coordination, cleaning, facility inspections, enforcing MWR policies, preparing incident reports, and handling hazardous materials. The role requires lifeguard, CPR, first aid, and blood-borne pathogens certifications, background and E-Verify checks, and knowledge of pool safety, DoD/DON/CNIC, and MWR policies.
