Description
The Recreation Program Coordinator supports NISRA’s mission of providing leisure experiences for individuals with disabilities. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Recreation, the role coordinates weekly programs, social clubs, trips, special events, and seasonal programs; leads assigned programs; plans, budgets, evaluates, and revises programs; markets participation; develops community relationships; and provides physical assistance and personal care to participants as needed. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field, current or attainable certification, extensive recreation-program knowledge, strong communication skills, a Class D driver’s license, and Handle With Care, First Aid, CPR, and AED certification or obtainable upon hire.
