Description
The Recreation Department Manager directly supervises recreation aides and manages recreational, avocation, and Student Government Association programs at the Joliet Job Corps Center in Joliet, Illinois. The role plans and coordinates department activities, trains and evaluates staff, manages budgets and policies, audits compliance, inspects facilities, develops recreational and social programs, schedules program coverage, coordinates with community and regional resources, supports student employability, and enforces safety and behavioral standards. The position requires a post-secondary degree, three years of experience working with youth and young adults including one year in a supervisory capacity, strong communication and computer skills, and a valid driver’s license.
