Description
The Recreation Specialist plans, organizes, and leads recreational activities, sports, fitness classes, arts and crafts, workshops, and independent living sessions for residents. The role collaborates with Client Care Coordinators, Social Service Managers, and Shelter Directors; maintains calendars and incident reports; ensures participant safety; and works in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours. An associate's degree or equivalent is preferred, while experience with adults, children, youth, and at-risk families and training in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and CPR are required.
