Description
The Recycled Water Specialist coordinates Otay Water District’s recycled water program and ensures compliance with state and local regulations. The role inspects and tests recycled water use sites, reviews plans and installations, coordinates cross-connection control testing with San Diego County Department of Environmental Health, maintains site records, responds to customer complaints, and operates testing equipment and District vehicles. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED, a California Class C driver’s license, and two years of relevant experience in utility construction, inspection, water systems, construction project management, meter maintenance, backflow, irrigation auditing, or recycled water compliance testing. The position is hourly and non-exempt.
