Description
The Referral Coordinator handles the intake of healthcare service orders, coordinates with patients and health plans, verifies patient information and insurance, processes authorizations and referrals, obtains and releases clinical documentation, responds to health plan inquiries, and resolves or escalates patient accounts. The role requires at least two years of intake and referral experience in home health, strong communication skills, computer and EMR/EHR proficiency, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities; bilingual Spanish and certification are advantages.
