Safety-Kleen is hiring a Refinery Operator in East Chicago, Indiana, to support refinery operations or wastewater treatment plant work. The role involves sampling process equipment and tanks, loading and offloading caustic from tankers, preparing samples for laboratory analysis, entering data, completing shipping and receiving documents, performing environmental and MARSEC inspections, using a forklift, and handling other required duties. The position requires flexibility to work all shifts, including days, swings, and graveyards, and offers a starting wage of $25.98. A high school diploma or GED, TWIC card eligibility, and 1–3 years of plant or industrial experience are preferred; wastewater treatment, forklift, oil and gas, and general mechanical experience are also valued.
