Description
HWI is hiring a customer-facing Refractory Technician for its Value Added Services Team. The role performs labor-intensive refractory lining, relining, repair, and installation work on furnaces, ladles, and tundishes at customer sites. Responsibilities include bricklaying, operating refractory installation equipment, plug changes, slide-gate repairs, equipment maintenance, inventory tracking, documentation, and strict adherence to safety and 5S standards. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, safe operation of cranes, forklifts, brick saws, and hand and power tools, the ability to read work orders and refractory drawings, and the physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in demanding industrial environments.
