Description
The Commercial Refrigeration Mechanic installs and repairs commercial refrigeration equipment, cooling systems, heat exchanges, pumps, valves, and expansion joints; reads blueprints and defines engineering specifications. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, three to five years of progressively responsible experience with commercial refrigeration and air handling systems, First Class Refrigeration or Unlimited Journeyman's License, a City of Detroit Unlimited Refrigeration Mechanic's license, and the ability to add refrigerant compounds to equipment.
