Description
J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is hiring a full-time Refrigeration Technician in Chicago, Illinois. The role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, service, and repair of refrigerated and other specialized trailers, containers, chassis, air brake systems, and related equipment. Duties include FHWA and DOT inspections, electrical diagnostics, tire and brake service, minor structural repairs, welding and cutting, work-order completion, and compliance with manufacturer and company specifications. The position requires EPA Section 608 Tech 2 certification, at least one year of DOT/FHWA inspection and air-brake experience, and generally 1–2 years of semi-trailer maintenance experience or equivalent training. Work may occur outdoors and across variable shifts, including nights and weekends.
