Description
The Dental Assistant provides oral hygiene and preventive services, evaluates patients, and performs extended-function procedures under the direction of a dentist. Duties include charting, intraoral and extraoral evaluations, endodontic master-point fitting and cementation, impressions, direct and indirect restorations, polishing, gingival retraction, and preparation of treatment materials. The role requires a high school education or GED, RDAEF licensure, radiation safety, coronal polish, sealant, and CPR or BLS certification, with an associate or technical degree and two years of dental assistant experience preferred.
