Description
The Oncology Dietitian develops and implements nutrition services for cancer patients in an outpatient setting, provides medical nutrition therapy, counseling, and individualized oral, enteral, and parenteral recommendations, and delivers monthly nutrition classes for patients and caregivers. The role also educates staff, collaborates with providers and community agencies, maintains patient documentation, and tracks departmental statistics. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree or higher in nutrition, nutrition sciences, or dietetics and current Registered Dietitian credentials in the District of Columbia.
