The Registered Mammography Technologist performs high-quality breast imaging, screening, diagnostic, invasive, and DEXA procedures at West Hospital. The role includes operating imaging equipment, selecting exposure factors, applying radiation and patient safety principles, documenting clinical histories, assisting with invasive procedures, educating patients, and participating in quality improvement. Required qualifications include ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology; mammography registration is preferred or must be obtained within one year, while an associate degree from an ARRT-accredited institute and one year of registered mammography technologist experience are preferred.
