Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for caring for outpatient patients during scheduled physician visits or telephone encounters. This includes assessing, implementing, and evaluating patient care under the direction of a licensed physician or advanced practice clinician. The RN uses the nursing process to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to individualize care. They also direct nursing support staff in accordance with established nursing practice standards.
