Description
The Registered Nurse plans, organizes, and directs hospice care for patients and families in their homes and communities. The role performs comprehensive assessments, develops and revises nursing care plans, administers prescribed medications and treatments, provides health education and counseling, coordinates with physicians and community health resources, maintains clinical documentation, and may supervise hospice aides. The position requires graduation from a National League of Nursing-accredited nursing school, current state licensure, and at least one year of professional nursing experience within the last three years; public health, home care, or hospice experience is preferred.
