Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for caring for a group of patients during a designated time frame using therapeutic self-care, the nursing process, the environment and instrumentation, and the health care team. The role supervises Unit Assistants and requires an NLN-accredited nursing school graduate, current Louisiana RN licensure, BLS certification, and two years of medical-surgical, critical care, or same-day surgery experience. Shifts may be 8 or 12 hours per day, with rotating call and a holiday call rotation.
