Description
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients in a 30-bed, high-acuity emergency care unit. Responsibilities include triage, medication administration, IV therapy, EKGs, phlebotomy, chest tube care, conscious sedation, emergency response, patient education, documentation, and coordination with other departments. The role requires at least one year of RN experience in emergency or critical care, Pennsylvania RN licensure, CPR certification, and ACLS or PALS certification within the specified timeframe; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred. The schedule includes 12-hour day, evening, or night shifts, PRN availability, and weekend and holiday work as needed.
