The role provides assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation of care for acutely ill patients, coordinates nursing care, documents patient responses, and collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff. Required qualifications include a BSN or ADN with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years, current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse status, Basic Life Support, and strong interpersonal, collaborative, and analytic abilities; ACLS and PALS are also listed for the pre/post PACU department.
