Description
The Registered Professional Nurse performs age-specific plans of care for designated patient groups, using assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role coordinates with physicians and other health-care team members, administers medications and procedures, provides patient and family education, performs decubitus care, documents care, and delegates activities to patient-care associates and other team members. It requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, a New York State Registered Professional Nurse license, BLS, and 1–2 years of professional nursing experience; a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
