Description
The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to long-term-care residents while supervising nursing assistants and leading nursing personnel on the assigned unit or shift. The role includes resident admissions, transfers, and discharges; medication administration; physician-order transcription; clinical documentation and incident reporting; specialized nursing procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, suction, wound dressing, colostomy and drainage-bag care, and IV-site care; staff safety oversight; physician rounds; and maintaining resident privacy, confidentiality, and a supportive care environment. A current unencumbered state RN license and CPR certification are required, while long-term-care experience is preferred.
