Description
The Behavioral Health Intake Registered Nurse (RN) is a full-time, nonexempt office-based role supporting referral intake, coordination of incoming referrals, insurance and prior authorization verification, admission orders, and timely placement in a behavioral health environment. The position also serves as a liaison among patients, families, physicians, referral sources, and internal teams, while supporting care conferences, referral tracking, capacity management, community outreach, unit leadership, education, and age-appropriate care. The role requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, a current RN license, Basic Life Support certification, and Handle With Care certification within 45 days of hire or transfer; a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
