Description
The RN PICC provides vascular access to patients, including placing PICC lines, peripheral IV catheters, and obtaining laboratory work with or without ultrasound. The role also evaluates and troubleshoots vascular access devices, educates healthcare team members, documents care, communicates with the team lead, and contributes to patient safety and quality data. It requires a two-year or associate degree in nursing, a current Kentucky nursing license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and unit-specific certifications, plus at least two years of nursing experience.
