Description
Petco is hiring a Veterinarian Technician to provide veterinary care and customer support in a Vetco Total Care full-service hospital. The role includes greeting clients, obtaining vital signs and histories, assisting with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia, restraining patients, processing laboratory samples, administering medications, scheduling appointments, educating clients, maintaining records, preparing patients for procedures, monitoring anesthetized patients, providing in-hospital treatments, and supporting hospital operations. The position requires completed college or college-equivalent education, at least one year of veterinary technician or veterinary practice experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a hospital environment involving lifting, kneeling, bending, and prolonged standing. The salary range is $18.75 to $30.25 per hour, with an eligible $5,000 sign-on bonus.
