Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc. is hiring a Release Engineer II (Wire Harness) for its Farmington Hills, Michigan office. The hybrid role combines at least four days of in-office work with off-site work and involves designing and releasing wire harness drawings for current and new Nissan programs, interpreting vehicle electrical schematics, resolving issues, supporting launches and prototype builds, and coordinating with systems engineering and global functional groups. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience, 3–5 years of wire harness design and packaging experience, CAD experience, and travel; Japanese language skills are a plus.
