Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc. is hiring a Release Engineer III for its Farmington Hills, Michigan office in a hybrid arrangement requiring at least four days per week in the office. The role supports North American OEM wire harness and vehicle electrical distribution system programs through product realization, including design releases, drawing reviews, specification changes, VA/VE, trial runs, manufacturing and tooling reviews, customer coordination, and design issue resolution. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent, at least five years of design release engineering experience, and at least three years of wire harness EDS engineering experience; Catia, Mentor XC, Excel, product launch, program management, failure analysis, and customer interface skills are also required.
