Description
Confluent is seeking an expert-level Reliability Engineer to drive proactive reliability improvements in their cloud-based data streaming platform. The role involves 75% hands-on engineering tasks such as building automation, improving tooling, analyzing systemic failure patterns, and designing reliability enhancements. The remaining 25% focuses on teaching and coordination, including coaching teams through post-mortems, training incident commanders, and refining incident response practices. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in SRE, incident management, or reliability engineering, along with strong expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, incident management tools, distributed systems, observability, and CI/CD pipelines.
