The role plans and directs engineering activities, develops reliability procedures, authorizes technical artifacts, coordinates engineering problem resolution, leads sustainment for forward-deployed detachments, tracks mission-critical systems, integrates engineering technologies, and mentors subordinate staff. Senior-level candidates need a relevant bachelor's degree and 10+ years of position-relevant experience, while mid-level candidates need a relevant bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience; a Professional Engineer license and active Secret Clearance are required.
