Horse Heaven Hills Pet Urgent Care and Veterinary Center is hiring a Relief Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in an urgent-care setting. The role includes assisting with examinations, treatments, and surgeries; handling and restraining animals; collecting patient information; preparing treatment plans; performing outpatient procedures; taking radiographs; maintaining medical records; supporting emergency situations; and communicating with pet owners. The position reports to the Lead Veterinary Technician, requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and offers medical, dental, vision, retirement, PTO, and an employee pet discount. Pay is $17.13–$20.50 per hour, with relief hours Monday through Saturday and Sunday.
