REMOTE- Inpatient Physician Coder at TEKsystems

The Medical Coder, Emergency Department, is a contract, fully remote position based out of Houston, Texas. The role reviews emergency department medical records to assign ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPCS, E/M, and modifier codes; analyzes documentation for complete charge capture; applies CMS, NCCI, payer, and Medicare/Medicaid coding requirements; and participates in audits, quality reviews, and process improvement. The position targets 100 charts per day with 96% quality and requires 6 A.M.–6 P.M. shifts. Compensation is $28.00–$30.00 per hour, with benefits potentially available depending on eligibility and employment length.
