The Renewable Operations Center Operator - Solar PV at Silicon Ranch involves real-time monitoring and control of utility-scale solar PV power plants from a NERC GOP-2 compliant Remote Operations Center (ROC). The role ensures grid reliability, plant availability, safe operations, and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include executing remote switching, responding to dispatch instructions, identifying and escalating plant alarms, and performing duties aligned with NERC and GOP-2 standards. The specialist also participates in compliance drills, supports disturbance reporting, and leads incident responses. Additionally, the role provides opportunities for hands-on experience in data analytics and Power BI reporting.
